What has been your experience or relationship with FarmFED Co-op to date?

I was the Administrator for the FarmFED Co-op for a few months in the beginning of 2021. Working with this group of talented and passionate people was a great pleasure and I hope to do more work with them in the future. I am also one of the first to purchase a share of the FarmFED Co-op.

I most recently worked as Administrative Aide to the Mt. Pulaski Economic Development Planning Board for a year and a half before being promoted to Administrator. As Administrator for the EDPB I took meeting minutes, served as record keeper, and prepared the treasurer’s report and other monthly reports for the EDPB. I also conducted research, administered the grant programs for the EDPB and the City of Mt. Pulaski. As well as served as a point of contact between the EDPB, the community and other organizations within Mt. Pulaski.

What kind of relevant expertise and background do you have to offer as a potential board member?

I served as Secretary on the interim board of directors for the Market On The Hill in Mt. Pulaski for nine months. I worked as the bookkeeper for Mt. Pulaski Public Library District for two years and prepared the monthly treasurer’s reports for the library board.

Have you ever served on a board of directors before, or worked under the supervision of a board of directors? If so, in what capacity?

As I mentioned before, I served as Secretary on the interim board for the Market On The Hill. I’ve worked previously underneath Mt. Pulaski Public Library District Board of Trustees as the bookkeeper. I worked briefly with the FarmFED Co-op as the Administer to the interim board of directors. Lastly, I worked as Administrator for Mt. Pulaski Economic Development Planning Board.

How able are you to attend monthly meetings in person (in Mt. Pulaski), and how much time do you foresee having to commit to serving on the board?

I live in Mt. Pulaski so I will be able to attend monthly meetings in person. I foresee being able to attend weekly meetings if necessary.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with the ownership about yourself that you feel is important or relevant to serving on the board?

In May I graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration from UIS. This experience, along with my work experience in Mt. Pulaski has led to my wanting to get more involved within my community. The FarmFED Co-op is a unique business because it not only affects farmers and consumers within Mt. Pulaski, but instead it can impact the entire central region of Illinois. I would love to be a part of strengthening our local economy by becoming a part of the FarmFED Co-op Board of Directors. I have excellent organizational skills and problem solvings skills that would be put to great use at the FarmFED Co-op.
